Strangford, founded by Jo, a talented printmaker based by Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland. Known for her colourful, vibrant and hand-crafted prints, Jo has built a community of over 150,000 Instagram followers who love her style.
THE CHALLENGE
Jo’s original website was DIY-built on Big Cartel, but as her audience and business grew, the platform could no longer support her needs. Order processing and shipping were manual, and managing her accounts was becoming time-consuming and stressful. Jo wanted a professional online shop that could do justice to her art while simplifying the back end of her business.
OUR APPROACH
Shopify migration: Designed and built a fully responsive Shopify store to showcase Jo’s work in a vibrant, user-friendly way that reflects her bold, colourful style.
Design support: Created collages and mock-ups of her prints in frames to give customers a clear sense of how the artwork looks in real life.
Business integrations: Connected Shopify with Royal Mail to automate shipping (previously done manually) and with Xero, working directly with her accountant to streamline reporting and simplify year-end filing.
User experience: Structured the store to make browsing, purchasing and shipping straightforward for both UK and international customers.
