La Bottega Belfast, an independent Italian restaurant known for authentic food and warm hospitality.
THE CHALLENGE
When La Bottega first came to us, they had a loyal following of around 7,000 on social media, but their digital presence didn’t reflect the full potential of the restaurant. The website wasn’t mobile-friendly, social media lacked consistency, and the brand’s story wasn’t coming through online.
OUR APPROACH
Website revamp: Migrated the site from WordPress to Squarespace, making it sleek, mobile-friendly and easy for the team to update. Added an interactive menu, an events section, and a space for private hire enquiries.
Creative direction & photography: Partnered with Ruth from Native Ivy for a photoshoot, working closely with the chef and owner to capture La Bottega’s authentic Italian spirit and create assets that reflect the brand.
Social media strategy: Introduced a consistent posting rhythm, wove in user-generated content, and shaped a brand voice that resonated with their audience. We also encouraged reviews to strengthen their reputation.
Press & PR: Crafted a press release and liaised with local reporters, securing coverage in the Belfast Telegraph and recognition from a Michelin-star chef. This raised their profile and cemented their reputation locally.
THE OUTCOME
La Bottega’s following has grown from 7,000 to nearly 11,000 engaged followers with a far more consistent and lively social presence. Their revamped website now works as a hub for diners, with clear paths to menus, events and bookings. They’ve successfully launched event nights like Apericena, bringing a taste of Italy to Belfast, and continue to grow as a must-visit destination.
